About
Psychologist & founder of Mind n Mug
Mind n Mug started in 2026, but it grew out of four years of sitting across from students as a school psychologist, and over 200 conversations that taught me something simple: young people don't lack feelings, they lack the words and the space to talk about them. In schools, mental health was often reduced to a form or a five minute check in. I wanted something slower. A place where conversations about anxiety, self worth, relationships, and growing up could happen the way they do over a cup of something warm, unhurried and free of judgment.
That's where the name comes from. A mug is small, familiar, and shared. It's what you reach for when you need a pause. Mind n Mug is that pause, made public: mental health content that speaks the language of school and college aged minds without talking down to them, and that reminds anyone up to their late twenties that struggling with your mind is not a flaw to hide, but a part of being human worth understanding.
I hold an MA in Clinical Psychology, along with specialized training in CBT, trauma informed care, hypnotherapy, and play therapy, plus a diploma in child care and child development. My work is person centered at its core. I believe you're the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, not ahead of you.
From there, I draw on CBT to help you understand the patterns behind your thoughts and behaviors, and trauma informed practice to make sure that process always feels safe, paced, and within your control. Having spent years working with school aged clients, I bring particular care and training to how children and adolescents process emotion, using play based and developmentally attuned methods where they fit best.
Whether you're 8 or 28, my approach stays the same: no jargon, no judgment, just an honest space to understand your mind a little better.
